At North Carolina A&T State University, we utilize an invitation-based tryout process. If an athlete is interested in joining the NC A&T State University cheerleading program, they can complete the recruitment questionnaire and send in skill videos to the team email account at NCATCheer@gmail.com with the following skills:

 

1. Standing tuck (or full)

2. One Standing Pass (ending in a layout or higher)

3. Two running passes (ending in a layout or higher)

4. A jump sequence of two or more jumps 

5. Two stunts or stunt sequences 

6. One coed stunt (coed bases/males) 

Videos will be added to our recruiting files and reviewed by the NC A&T Cheerleading coaching staff.

*** Note: The above skills are NOT required for cheerleaders, but are STRONGLY encouraged to increase your chances of recruitment/ invitation to tryouts. ***

Athletes are allowed to submit as many videos as they would like (they don't have to be sent at the same time), but it must meet the minimum amount listed above to be considered for an invite to tryouts. If invited, athletes will be contacted by email with information about tryouts, dates, required forms , etc.
